"I start my day off with a heart warming kiss from my puppy, Melody. Every morning she runs into my room, jumps on me and gives me a bright hello. It's a great way to start the day, knowing someone really cares."(JAM 3/01)
Rosie spoiled her little sister Mel, and usually let her have anything she wanted...
snatching items left within her reach is still considered a game to her! She has taken her change into "only dog" status well, and has helped us through the sorrow of missing Rosie.
She has many positive points -- she enjoys her time outside, and only barks if other dogs go by (acceptable), the occasional jogger (fine with me), and if a driver slows down or turns into our driveway (a good thing).

Here is Fred on the left,
with his buddy Evinrude,
who was our first canine family member.
On the right is Rosie, who's only fault, really, was that she didn't live longer.
